Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Surface
- Wash or water-blast the entire planter box surface to remove dirt, debris, and loose material.
- Use a wet/dry vacuum to remove any remaining water, ensuring the surface is completely dry before applying any product.
2. Reinforce Seams, Joins, and Holes
- Pre-cut Geo-Textile to bridge the seams, wall-floor joins, corners, and any existing holes.
- Apply Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant over these areas using a brush.
- While the sealant is still wet, embed the pre-cut Geo-Textile into the sealant, making sure there are no wrinkles or air bubbles.
- Once set, spray Rapid Cure Spray to speed up the drying process.
3. Apply Waterproof Sealant to the Entire Surface
- Once dry, apply the first coat of Waterproof Sealant using a brush, roller, or spray machine, covering the entire planter box surface.
- If rain is expected, spray Rapid Cure Spray to help set the product faster.
4. Apply the Final Waterproofing Coat
- Apply a second coat of Waterproof Sealant across the entire planter box for complete coverage. Additional coats can be applied if needed.
- Recommended thickness: 1.5mm dry-film (approximately 2 liters per square meter).
5. Allow to Cure & Protect Before Filling
- Let the Waterproof Sealant cure for 48-72 hours before applying a protection board (corflute).
- Once cured, backfill with soil and plant your greenery!
